The Festival of the Holidays is one of the most popular events at Epcot. It features cultural holiday foods and drinks, magical storytelling from different countries, a Candlelight Processional, Yuletide Extravaganza, Holiday Cookie Stroll, and more.
There are so many ways to enjoy the Festival of the Holidays 2023! First, you can catch the beautiful Candlelight Processional show at the America Gardens Theatre. This is a retelling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator, backed by a live orchestra and choir! The processional runs several times each night and is a must see for anyone visiting during the holidays.
You can also visit Santa Claus at the World Showcase. He will be at The Odyssey pavilion throughout the event, December 24 – 31, and guests can take their picture with him while they relay their Christmas wishes!
A fun way to explore the World Showcase is by taking part in Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition. You can purchase a Scavenger Hunt map and stickers to complete your quest around the World Showcase to find new holiday traditions.
Each pavilion has a storyteller that will share with you the holiday traditions of their homeland. It is a great way to learn more about the cultures in each country and how they celebrate the holidays!
Other highlights of the Festival include stand-alone Holiday Kitchens scattered around the World Showcase. These booths serve up more than 50 bites from around the globe and 60+ specialty beverages! You can also get a souvenir passport that will help you navigate the Festival.
You can also meet Father Christmas and other characters at this event. There are several locations in the park where you can meet these characters including the Norway and Morocco pavilions.
During this event, you can also enjoy performances by the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs. These performers perform a variety of holiday songs, dances and customs from various regions throughout Canada.
In addition to these performances, you can also enjoy the dazzling Chinese Lion Dance that is performed at the China pavilion. This is a great performance that will bring you good fortune and happiness during the Lunar New Year!
Another popular performance during the Festival is the Joyful! vocal ensemble, which will be performing a variety of holiday and gospel music. This performance will be held at the World Showcase Plaza stage multiple times a day and is a must-see!
You can also check out the holiday merchandise at various shops throughout the park. You can buy everything from festive apparel to housewares and more!
The Festival of the Holidays is an incredible experience and will be a favorite for many families. This is one of the shorter festivals at Epcot and will run from November 25 – December 30 in 2023.
