Ugly Where Chair: When your upholstered piece of furniture becomes so soiled that even your upholstery cleaning service can’t get it clean, it is time to replace the fabric. And what better way to find a new re-upholstery fabric than to have the public choose it for you? That is the idea behind Webster Interior’s ugly chair contest. Sixty-four entrants submitted their own ugly chairs to the store at 975 Ebner Dr. for a chance to be awarded a new seat in one of the 600 Hallagan fabrics available at the Webster interior shop. The winner of the contest, Donna Dash of Newark, was able to select from a gray burnt red pumpkin paisley pattern for her new chair.
Smartmom knew it would be cruel to get rid of her old, soiled chair that had brought her many years of family memories. And, she had to admit it was pretty ugly.
